EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Corrections Officers must meet requirements set forth by the Michigan Sheriffs' Coordinating and Training Council. Deputy Sheriff's must be MCOLES certifiable.
Montcalm County serves 20 townships consisting of a combined 720 square miles. The duties of Deputy Sheriff's include patrol, criminal investigation, traffic enforcement, quelling disturbances, and traffic crash investigations. The duties of Correction Officers include maintaining orderly operations of the 205 bed facility. For a Full-Time Office Assistant. Qualifications include High school graduation or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google web applications. One year of legal-related clerical experience involving the preparation and editing of correspondence and reports, maintenance of office filing systems, and related secretarial functions. Prefer experience in a law enforcement agency. Applications are accepted until 4:00 p.m. April 19, 2019.
