Failure to return Questionnaire and Personal History Forms
- If you fail to return your questionnaire and personal history forms in a timely manner, you will be show caused. A hearing will be set for you to come before the Court to explain why your forms were not returned. Penalties can include Fines, Costs, and even Jail time.
- Failure to appear for the above-mentioned show cause will result in a Bench Warrant being issued for your arrest. You will be taken directly to jail where you will await to be brought before the Court for arraignment.
Failure to Appear for Jury Selection Date(s)
- If you fail to appear for your first Jury Selection date, you will receive a letter from the Court indicating that we have taken note of your absence and notifying you of the next Jury Selection date.
- If you fail to appear for a second time, you will be show caused. A hearing will be set for you to come before the Court to explain why you did not attend. Penalties can include Fines, Costs, and even Jail time.
Failure to Appear for your selected Trial(s)
- If you have been selected for a Trial or Trials and you fail to appear on the day of said Trial, the Court will try and contact you to remind you that your service is required.
- If need be, the Court will dispatch a Deputy to your home to escort you to the Courthouse.
