All Countywide Offices will appear on the August 4, 2020 Primary Election ballot. Those offices include Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk, Treasurer, Drain Commissioner, Register of Deeds and one County Road Commissioner. The filing deadline is Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 4 pm with the County Clerk. The Clerk's office is located at 211 W Main Street, Stanton, MI and the mailing address is:

All forms needed to file for office can be obtained from the County Clerk Vital Records/Elections Office located at 211 W Main Street, Stanton, MI. Due to the Governor's Stay at Home Order, all County Offices are closed to the public until May 1, 2020, but the Clerk's Office is staffed Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am to Noon. As the filing deadline is on a Tuesday, the Clerk's office will staffed from 8 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Candidates may email to have packets mailed to them or to make an appointment to file for office.
Candidates may pay a $100 filing fee in lieu of circulating and filing petitions. That filing fee is refunded if the candidate receives the nomination or places second in the race.
